Welcome Friends!
I think the best way to start off is explaining a little me and what the heck is going on.
I graduate from Western Carolina University May 11th, 2013!
I was born and raised in North Carolina which has been pretty remarkable!
I am a debutante.
I love my beautiful sorority sisters.
My family just moved to Oklahoma to start a ranch and be close to my dad's side of the family. (He was born in Oklahoma). I've only visited once over Christmas break. (This is in my backyard)
And I have had the chance to experience my college years at a beautiful university in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. (yes that is really my school)
And like all southern girls I dream of getting married right out of college and starting a family moving to New York and starting an amazing career in journalism or broadcasting.
The past 6 months I have dedicated my time to trying to graduate and to trying to find a job, not just in New York, but everywhere. And i've come up short.
So my parents have made me a deal. They've paid for college, they've paid for everything, and they are giving me three more months. They have rented me a summer apartment in Brooklyn, NY! I have three months to find a job... Three months to find an apartment for the rest of the year... Three months to see if I can make it in the Big Apple. If I don't figure it all out... I move to Oklahoma.
Okay, I'll admit it. I'm a pretty lucky girl to have this kind of opportunity. Not everyone gets this chance... So I feel like I have a lot to lose!
I'm totally terrified and beyond excited. I hope you follow me on my adventure... I welcome any and all advice... and especially lots of prayers!
I hope you are ready to get lost with me in the city.
